Yoga Testimonials:
I've practiced yoga in Joans' hot core flow class many times this year and have been challenged in different ways each class. Always encouraging, she teaches us to push our limit to the edge but also how to respect our boundaries. At times she is light and spiritual yet not airy, others she is tough and firm when we need to be shown what that is.

I came to Gyan Yoga for wisdom, a tough workout and so i could feel more in tune with my consciousness, what i learned from Joan in practice and theory is that, it's what i put into it, that i also get out it. Her postures are visually entrancing, her tactile approach is personable and friendly but her expression and voice remind us that no matter how difficult it may seem to stay in this posture, smiling makes it easier... Especially when falling out.

I consider receiving Joan's classes a blessing.

Her style is one that successfully combines form and flow, enabling her students to enjoy the class time, but learn a great deal about the appropriate way to practice. As she has offered corrections throughout our time, I have become better and have found more pleasure in my practice.

Her verbal instruction focusses on the poses and breathing of course, but is delivered in a calm, playful, yet matter of fact style, allowing your mind to focus and engage but remember the pleasure that is Yoga and gain insight into it's intimate reality.

Studying her Yoga teaching has ensured that I grow both as a student and as a person. I look forward to every class with Joan and am grateful for her...one of the few instructors that makes every class feel "as good as the first time".
